Dust: An Elysian Tail, which debuted on Xbox 360 in 2012, will be coming very soon to PlayStation 4.

Earlier today in a PlayStation blog post, Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 will be receiving a version of the 2D side-scrolling platformer Dust: An Elysian Tail. The title will be in 1080p and will run at 60 fps for the PS4 version, all while retaining the hand-drawn sprite animations from the other versions of the game.

While a release date has yet to be given, when asked in the comments as to whether the title will be released this year, the creator of the game, Dean Dodrill, responded: “I think you’ll be satisfied ;).”

The title was only confirmed for PlayStation 4 in the blog post, but when asked by a commenter on the possibility of a PS Vita port, Dodrill optimistically responded: “While I’m only announcing PS4 right now, I love my Vita, and personally hope to have some good news sometime in the future.”

Dust: An Elysian Tail was originally released for Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade back in 2012, and was followed by Windows, Linux, and OS X versions of the game in 2013.
