[dropcap size=dropcap]W[/dropcap]arner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Techland have released a short new trailer for Dying Light, the latest addition to the zombie survival horror genre created and developed by the Polish studio. The action of the video game Dying Light takes place in an urban open world environment. It is based on the Chrome Engine 6, a graphical engine specifically designed for the two next-generation consoles, Xbox One and PS4 and of course, for DirectX 11.
According to Dying Light’s developers, and due to the possibilities given by the new generation of consoles, the game will feature a new day-night cycle that will be able to bring a new dynamic to the “open world zombie shooter & survival” genre. Moreover, the video game will also feature new and advanced lighting effects, as we can clearly see on the trailer below:

During the day, players will be able to survive more easily as the undead will prefer to stay away from the sunlight. Therefore, the days are the best time to find and collect resources, which then players will be able to use to create new weapons and items through the new crafting system included in Dying Light.
During the night however, the hordes of zombies will get out, becoming more aggressive than ever. Also, the darkness will bring to town all kinds of predators who use the night as a perfect time to hunt their preys.
I know most of the zombie apocalypse fans have already lost their patience but Dying Light will not be released this year. We don’t even know the exact launch date but this is however, another story. We know that the game is in development and for the moment, we’ll have to settle with a few images and some trailers.
As we have already mentioned before, Dying Light is being developed by the polish studio Techland. The zombie survival horror vide game will be released in 2014 for PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
