Developer Techland have announced the Season Pass details for their upcoming survival horror Dying Light. The Season Pass will include three DLC expansions for the game – detailed below – and will be available for $20 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The first part of DLC will be released sometime in February 2015, although a specific date wasn’t released.
- Cuisine & Cargo – Available first for Season Pass holders, these two hardcore missions let players put their skills to the ultimate test. Investigate buildings sealed off in the very first days of the outbreak–with the infected inside. Explore ominous corridors of once the most famous restaurant in Harran, and employ both stealth and combat to ransack a zombie-filled loading bay at an abandoned railroad yard.
- Ultimate Survivor Bundle— Players will receive seven unique in-game items that will bring fighting zombies to a whole new level. Grab three special outfits and four blueprints for over-the-top weapons to make your survival in the quarantine zone a good bit easier.
- The Bozak Horde – The final Season Pass drop will deliver a new map and gameplay, playable in either single-player or co-op. Go inside the Harran Stadium, the most famous landmark in the city, and test your combat know-how against relentless hordes of the Infected. Fight increasingly stronger and larger enemy waves as you oppose a mysterious psychopath called Bozak.
Dying Light is scheduled to be released on January 27 of next year, so gamers won’t have long more to wait. Techland have also announced that they will be releasing a Dying Light Ultimate Edition which will include the original game as well as the Season Pass content. However, the price of the Dying Light Ultimate Edition was not announced.
Pre-orders for Dying Light are also currently open, with the games website taking all pre-orders for digital copies, and GameStop, Amazon.com and Best Buy taking retail pre-orders. For those of you who do decide to pre-order the game, a ‘Be The Zombie’ exclusive DLC will be packed in with your game. ‘Be The Zombie’ includes a PvP game mode where a player will be able to control a Night Hunter, what Techland have called a “lethal predator with unique and deadly skills” that appears in-game.
