EA’s COO has Rejected Players’ Error Claims

by GH Staff

If you own a PS4, then you at one point must have played Battlefield 4 on it. In the process, you may have been stopped somewhere along the line due to the in-game crash that is highly talked about. However, Electronic Arts (EA), the game developer seems to be unyielding about the topic. It has refuted the claims stating that there is nothing wrong when the game is running on PlayStation 4.

Peter Moore, EA’s COO, recently logged on Twitter and responded to tweets by a number of fans making queries about the game. He discussed the cause of Battlefield 4 crashing on PlayStation as a result of the Error CE-34878-0. At the same time, a fan wrote on Twitter that they were positive Electronic Arts next year will be the winner of the worst company award in America. He added that EA should realize Battlefield 4 is a product that is broken on PS4. Moore replied by telling the fan to give him some time to consult with their customer service team as they try to find a solution. He also asked for the best way he could contact the fan.

Later on, the same fan posted that he was thankful for the reply / offer, but there were serious issues within the game for everyone using PS4. He added that the game is truly broken. Confidently Moore replied by saying that this was not true as their servers did not show any signs of failure in the game. He finished by stating he is offering to help.

That’s what Moore felt about the claims toward error CE-34878-0 for Battlefield on PS4, despite it sounding a bit awkward to fans because nearly the entire world is making complaints about the same error. After a patch has been released for the error, it would be interesting to see what Moore will write about it.

The error is involved with an issue where players save files for the game and they become corrupted. Such players are advised to get rid of the entire save. Fans / players want a fix which will run on a more stable basis even though there are several temporary ways to avoid the said error. Despite Moore’s denials, DICE has recently confirmed that their team is conscious of not only the bugs seen with the PlayStation 4 version of Battlefield 4, but also for PC and Xbox 360 versions.

In its Battlelog forum, DICE wrote that they were aware of the regular crashes in Battlefield on PlayStation 4. They said they were working hard to identify these issues and were hoping to release a game update early next week. DICE finished by writing that fans should stay tuned to get more details as they are able to confirm them, and they were thankful for their fans’ patience.

Currently, Battlefield 4 is available for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in Europe and North America. We would love to hear your comments about the same.
