The next character in NetherRealm Studios’ eagerly awaited Mortal Kombat X will be announced tomorrow, Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon confirmed on Twitter.
Boon has been responding to multiple tweets from Mortal Kombat fans regarding when the next character reveal will be, and he said that the “[yet-to-be-announced]” fighter’s video would be released at the same time as Kung Lao’s.
“@dimpless0226: @noobde when will we be getting another reveal? EB: Next MKX video also reveals the next character !!

Kung Lao was the latest fighter added to Mortal Kombat X’s 24-character roster after being confirmed in the January issue of GamesMaster magazine.
Although details were revealed on his three character variations—a feature that allows players to select a unique trait before a match—Kung Lao is the only fighter to have not received a gameplay video at the same time as his announcement.
GamesMaster’s Mortal Kombat X feature revealed a faction-based system in the multiplayer and the return of the Challenge Tower from Mortal Kombat 9, while Ed Boon also discussed the female representation in the Mortal Kombat series.
Running at 1080p and 60fps, Mortal Kombat X will launch on April 14th, 2015 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
