Elder Scrolls Online – Character Creation Revealed

by GH Staff

In it’s newest trailer for the Elder Scrolls Online game, Bethesda Softworks and Zenimax Online have given us a glimpse at the character creation for the game and here is the info I was able to get from the speech of the art director for the game, Jared Carr.

Even the previous Elder Scrolls games had character creation, especially the last two, which did it great and they are constantly improving it. So there is no real surprise that The Elder Scrolls Online will also have great character creation. Since this will be a massively multiplayer game, where the way you look will actually matter even more, they surely put a lot of work into it. But let’s look at it more detailed, as far as we can do that for now.

Char Cr

Physique: First and foremost thing is the physique where you can make your character more skinny or even overweight no matter what race you are. Also you can change the height of your character, but I think some restrictions will apply since you can’t make, for example a tall Bosmer character, that would be a wood elf, like you could make, for example a Nord one. Tattoos are also the thing you can add to any character. One more thing, you can adjust the thickness of your arms and legs and there are really, as far as I have seen, a lot of things you can play around with and create a character that will satisfy your preferences.

Face: There is a vast variety of faces and hair styles for you to choose from and if you are not satisfied with that you can try and make your own face of a character, which sometimes can yield to a very funny final result, but in the most of the times the characters will look really nice and cool. You could really make them look alike like you. Also here you can see that they actually put a lot of work into it, but considering the strong team of developers behind it, as I probably said before, this is really not a surprise.

Even though the character creation is the first step in your adventure in Tamriel it surely is one of the important ones, because this will be a look you will have through a lot of a game and since this is a very personal for some of the players Bethesda Softworks and Zenimax online have given it’s best to satisfy all the potential players of the game, new and old players to the Elder Scrolls franchise alike. My first character will probably be a bulky Nord one, but I want to hear your opinion also, what do you think about it and what is your preferred character to play with.

Here is the link if you want to check it in action.

One more step closer and a thing that increases anticipation for this great game which will be able to play at the start of 2014. We cannot wait.
