Survival-mystery game Escape Dead Island will be arriving on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC next week. The game is set in the Dead Island universe, but the gameplay will go in a different direction to its sister titles.
You play as Cliff Calo, a journalism student who is out to prove himself to his father. The game sees you set off with friends to find out what happened on Banoi (the location of the original Dead Island game). The game will have you doing different things including ‘photographing evidence’ and ‘gathering clues’. You can check out the official Escape Dead Island launch trailer below.
Escape Dead Island seemingly takes on a much slower and serious pace to the other Dead Island games. The story of Escape Dead Island will also reveal glimpses of Dead Island’s origins and foreshadow Dead Island 2.
If you pre-order Escape Dead Island you will receive beta access to the upcoming Dead Island 2. The beta will be arriving next year.
