Fallout 4 is unlikely to appear in 2014

by GH Staff

Next year is looking to be a great year for gaming, however, the highly anticipated Fallout 4 is unlikely to see a release in 2014. Bethesda has published it’s official greeting card for the holiday season, with subtle hints at what titles it will be publishing next year.

The three titles that are expected to hit player shelves in 2014 are:

  • The Elder Scrolls Online – confirmed for the 4th of April 2014
  • Wolfenstein: The New Order – confirmed for a 2014 release
  • The Evil Within – also confirmed for a 2014 release

In fact, there’s no official statement regarding Fallout 4 at all. Bethesda has made it clear that they are not ready to comment on the project, even after several months of active speculation. However, there have been leaked documents which are as close to concrete evidence as we’ll ever find – you can read up on them in detail here.

Furthermore, it was already pretty obvious that the next title in the Fallout series won’t be coming in 2014, as usually game developers officially announce the titles they are working on in due time. Rarely do projects such as this one get an official announcement less than one year ahead of their launch date. Most realistic estimations about Fallout 4’s release date are aimed at a 2015 release, at best. This greeting-card pretty much confirms our fears that Fallout 4 won’t be coming along in 2014.
