For quite some time now, I have observed that many fans of Fallout 4 are craving for news and whenever an article gets published about the anticipated game, the fans devour it and love to comment. The gaming communities and forum members believe that Bethesda’s next gen sequel of Fallout 4 will be a stunner. What I personally think is that the gamers along with the fans must not get overwhelmingly excited about the rumors, as the game developers haven’t confirmed anything yet. However there is a strong speculation that Bethesda will announce something regarding Fallout 4 on the Spike’s award show coming in December this year. The so-called teaser domain fetched a wave of expectations and excitement in the fan horde.
The diehard fans of the game started decoding the numbers of the ticking clock on thesurvivor2299.com domain. It wouldn’t be wrong to term the Fallout sequel as “Hypothetical”. My point of view is that this teaser domain isn’t real. There are a few solid reasons to back up my assessments that are listed below. Have a look at them:
The first one is that the countdown on the website was surely pointing at Spike’s annual award show which is wrong. The website was launched last month and at that time the date for the award show wasn’t confirmed, but now it has been planned to fall on 7th of December, while the clock is pointing towards 11th of December. Why on earth would Bethesda go for a separate launch announcement for Fallout 4 instead of the Spike gaming award show?
The game developers haven’t said a single word yet about the game. It seems like they are not allowed to comment on the progress of the game. Even when some experts and media guys contacted Bethesda, the only answer was silence. Even if the developing studio launched that website, why would they not tell their anxiously waiting fans about it?
Then comes that rumored audio trailer. Well everybody knows how pathetic it sounds and do you guys really think professionals like Bethesda will use such noises and sounds including that annoying beep on the website? I don’t think so.
The most common justification given by the fans about the ownership of that website is that it is owned by ZeniMax. Surely it is! However there is a serious inconsistency between thesurvivor2299 and other Bethesda websites. When I looked at the IP, it was shockingly pointing towards a company situated in Poland. It was weird enough for me to doubt the website. Moreover, the domain was registered from GoDaddy and all other domains of Bethesda have been registered by ZeniMax’s standard service.
The tweets of Three Dog have been shared a lot over the internet and in various gaming circles, but the Fallout 3 voice actor isn’t an authentic source of news at all. Bethesda never confirmed all of the aforementioned rumors so let’s wait for Spike’s annual award show and hope the developers will have a word with the fans over there, or maybe provide an official video trailer and some characters.
