The past month has been filled with excitement for every Fallout fan, as a new site Survivor2299 has appeared on the web and started giving out coded messages about the upcoming Fallout 4 game. However, people are becoming more and more certain that this ‘alternate reality’ game teaser is just a hoax. Is it, or will we soon have Fallout 4 in our hands? Read below and make up your own opinion.
If you haven’t been following the latest Fallout 4 stories, here is everything, the whole story, from the beginning up to now, and it is exactly what you need to know about the Survivor2299 website.
Everything started back in the middle of November, when a Reddit user discovered the Survivor2299 website, featuring a Morse coded message, which only gave us the date of the 11th of December, 2013. Later on a EU Trademark of the title was discovered, which excited the Fallout fans even more and made them believe that the game really is coming out. Waiting in anticipation everyone was heading to the newly found teaser website and waiting for the latest hidden and coded messages.
Later on a phone number appeared in a simple message, which when called gave another Morse coded message. On and on, people were filled with hope discovering new messages, coded in different ways. Some of them were advising about the upcoming new clear winter, the next were leading to new messages, some even to a frequency, which when accessed gave yet another hints about the upcoming Fallout 4. A definite blast to play, this alternate game is yet to be proved to have anything to do with the developers of the game. As the EU trademark was proved to be a fake, hope plummeted, and as nothing else but coded messages appeared on the site Survivor2299, not a single screenshot or anything like that, more and more fans are starting to believe that this is nothing more than a hoax.
There are still 8 days left, until the 11th of December comes, and we will still have to wait and see if we will get some real information about the new Fallout game, or not. Is the site a marketing campaign or not? We are not sure. We believe it is, but we can’t be certain, as the hope for the release of a new Fallout game won’t die soon.
The site is definitely worth taking a look at and it has been fun, creating the alternate reality game and all; however, at the end of the day something is just off. Yes, fans have the ability of making up big hoaxes and lies, when their enthusiasm is a bit over the ‘normal’ levels. However, we just can’t be sure and say if this site is a hoax or not. There are only 8 days left, however, so we will soon be able to understand what is real and what is not. Will Fallout 4 be soon on the shelves and in our hands or we still have to wait for an unknown period of time? On the 11th of December, we will most probably find out! So get ready..
