Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics have returned to Steam, These titles were originally on steam but then removed. People who had still purchased the games before they were removed still got to keep them, they were just removed from the store so that nobody else was able to purchase them. The games were removed after the rights for the games went to Bethesda. Thankfully when Bethesda took over the rights they didn’t plan to forget about the games and returned them to steam (and other digital distribution) after sorting the publishing info for the games.
When these classics made their return to Steam, Bethesda announced it on their blog giving out some information about the games for anybody who hadn’t got to play them or in case you forgot and wanted a recap. They also reassured us that these titles are in fact enabled for steam cloud so nobody has to worry about loosing their save if their computer breaks or if you just want to continue from your save on another machine which is always good to hear.
Bethesda brought back these titles to Steam at a great time, The Steam Summer Sale!
