Far Cry 4 is Going to be Set in the Himalayas Come 2015

And you’re going to be able to ride elephants while scaling the icy mountainous region of Asia, said Eurogamer this morning. Tackling the world’s tallest mountain range exceeding 7,200 meters won’t be an easy task, but Far Cry 4 is here for a change of scenery from its leisurely, tropical climate predecessors. Ubisoft’s goal is to release Far Cry 4 by the end of March 2015, so we still have some time to wait for the next installment into the first-person shooter, action-adventure series. But in the mean time, we’ll share with you some of the information made accessible to the public on Far Cry 4‘s production.

The tipster whom originally informed Eurogamer stated that “Far Cry 4 sounds super boring from the rumors,” along with the dispersed location and hints on potential locale creatures. However, we’ve yet to get official details from Ubisoft, so jumping to conclusions might prove to be farce.  The producer has made it clear that no information on Far Cry 4 will be available until their press conference at E3 2014 in June. For the possible consoles that it’ll be released onto, the rumors all point to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Far Cry 4 in essence will mimic a lot of Far Cry 3 gameplay and actions. From hunting and survival adaptations, to sieges on outposts; it seems like the sequel isn’t going to stray too far from what it does best. But it’ll also reveal some new features, say inside sources. Ubisoft neglected to comment on the action-adventure game, but are preparing to extenuate some excitement for their forthcoming titles at E3 2014.

Does a trip to an unfamiliar terrain seem appealing to you, perhaps? What are your hopes for Far Cry 4?
