Koei Tecmo Europe has hinted towards a possible Japan-only release for the upcoming Wii U exclusive Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden.
Overwhelming response on Twitter from fans of the series in the form of the #WeWantFatalFrame hashtag has led Koei Tecmo Europe to respond via their official Twitter account (posted below) on the status of an international release for the newest entry in the horror series.
And regarding #WeWantFatalFrame requests, as far as we know this title is JP release only. Back to the office tomorrow FYI. #KTfamily

The post seems to confirm that the Wii U title will only be released in Japan at this time, which is not the first time an entry in the series has not been given an international release. The last entry in the series Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen was an exclusive for Wii that was released only in Japan.
While this news does seem to indicate Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden will not receive a localization for other territories, fan response could lead to a change as it did for other Nintendo titles from the Operation Rainfall fan campaign.
