This past weekend Gearbox and 2K Australia announced their first Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel DLC which lets you play as everyone’s favourite witty and irascible villain Handsome Jack, or at least his lookalike, with the Doppleganger pack. You don’t have to wait too long to play as him either, as the pack releases this November 11th.
As Handsome Jack’s Doppleganger you can summon “Digi-Jacks” to fight alongside you, and depending on how you allot your skill points they will have different abilities:
Depending on how you spec out your Skill Trees, these Digi-Jacks can earn you bonuses or even get you a Second Wind in Fight For Your Life. “Jack” can also shoot enemies with wrist lasers, get buffs every time he picks up money (in typical CEO fashion), or even get upgrades for using guns made by specific manufacturers.
The Doppleganger character is the first of four planned DLC packs for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and is included in the season pass which costs $29.99, while getting it on its own will cost $9.99.
The remaining three packs are in development, and include one more character (a modder previously claimed he discovered another playable character already in the game’s code, the Baroness), a level cap upgrade, a new campaign, and other yet to be announced content.
