Well, as we’ve stated before: Telltale Games has an uncanny routine that they like to go through before releasing the next launch phase of a particular franchise. Since the releases of The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead are beginning to interchange from month-to-month, it’s a safe bet to take that we’ll be seeing the next episode in a matter of time. The Walking Dead Season 2, Episode 2 had a lot of dramatic undertone that exploded near the end of the actual gameplay. Fans remember it in a quite fond manner as “the moment before everything went to hell.” Or so Telltale Games described it prior to release; which we digress, does sound a lot like the plotline we’ve seen first hand on the in-game action. But that was over two months ago, and the devout followers of Telltale Games have been restless since The Wolf Among Us released in early April. The game developers over at Telltale Games have an inane ritual before they’re prepared to get out the next chapter of a game, and that’s to rally their audiences at the possible debut launch. From what we’ve seen on their official twitter account, the folks at Telltale are allowing screenshots, original art, and minor details leak. Prime basis to estimate that their release of Season 2, Episode 3 “In Harms Way” is going to be on its way to your PC or platform of choice.

Actor Michael Madsen as brutal leader ‘William Carver’ in #TheWalkingDead S2 Ep 3 ‘In Harm’s Way’ posts Telltale on Twitter this evening. And we agree, he looks like someone you’re going to fear rather than respect.
Telltale hasn’t given us much to go on, which is probably a blessing in disguise, since fans will get that dire emotional impact that The Walking Dead Season Two has been riding since its Episode One “All That Remains” launch. The absence of Lee from the first season has not hindered the series in the slightest, and Clementine along with her new array of companions are stealing the spotlight. Whether or not you prefer the previous cast to the second seems irrelevant since as Clementine’s second experience in an apocalyptic world begins to unfold. Both paralleled approaches to the act of storytelling in The Walking Dead are so drastically differentiated that it is often difficult to weigh one in the name of another. But the important notification is that it has managed to still hold onto all of its charm as a series that’ll test your psyche and build upon your karma with various survivors. Which is what we’re expecting from a Telltale Game adaptation of The Walking Dead; as the game itself has managed to one-shot skyrocket the company’s sales in the short matter of time that its been on the market.

Characters alive or dead from #TheWalkingDead S2 & 400 Days will play a role amid Ep 3 ‘In Harm’s Way’ wrote Telltale Games. Which is good, considering we’ve not seen any indication yet (besides Bonnie) that 400 days was going to be implemented anytime soon.
What we do have in hindsight of the game’s story arc is that there were multiple endings to how Episode 2, “A House Divided” began to unravel. Below, you can see one of the groups that are available as a possible combination for the entry into “In Harm’s Way.” Depending on your playthrough, keep in mind that the cast will drastically differ along with their accessible dialogue. But for the most part, this seems to be Telltale Game’s best case scenario. We’re hoping to see how exactly the varying cast is going to churn this upcoming release’s flare. Considering how the news of The Walking Dead Episode 3 has already caught fire, we’d assume that this’ll be a chapter to await in anticipation.
While we’ll keep you updated on the release of The Walking Dead, “In Harm’s Way” and whatever Telltale decides to unveil before the initial release. We’d like to hear your hopes and concerns for the series as it encroaches another episode (and conclusion) which is still going to remain around five seasonal episodes. Multiple interviews with the voice actor of Clementine on IGN‘s official channel have been rather evasive on what to expect as the season comes to a close. Thus, it is an interesting topic to spark debate amongst your fellow Walking Dead enthusiasts as we’re handed this vague update to hold us over until the game developers are prepared to go public with “In Harm’s Way.” At the moment, we can place a launch date being scheduled in the next few days. Worst case scenario– it’s a week or two.
