Popular racing game Forza Motorsport 5 will be getting an update this month (probably before Christmas). The update is bringing a redesigned in-game economy, a drag racing mode and a multiplayer tag mode.
First things first – the economy. The changes in the economy system will reduce the prices on some exotic cars by quite a bit, as well as significantly increase the money players will be earning. As a result, players will be spending about 1/5th of the time saving up for expensive cars compared to the previous title of the series, Forza 4. Further balancing of the market and economy will be based on player feedback.
The drag-racing feature in Forza 5 will include various game modes, such as a 1vs1 race or 8 distinct cars battling it out on the same track. The tag mode is even more elaborate, adding 3 unique game modes:
– Tag Virus – players will start on equal footage, with one of them being “infected”; upon touching an adversary, the infection will spread to that player too; the last uninfected player wins the race;
– Keep the It – one player will start as being marked the “it”, and will hold on to the status as long as long as he can; players making contact with the it player will take over the it status; the player that has the longest time spent as the it wins the race;
– Pass the It – the reverse of “Keep the It”, the mechanics remain unchanged, however, the goal is to get rid of the it status as fast as possible; players with the least it time win;
Turn 10 seems to be able to provide new content at a fast-pace, so expect even more future updates to the game.
