Koei Tecmo Games has been releasing more screenshots with profile backgrounds on the characters from the upcoming warfare game called BladeStorm: Nightmare; as a remastered version of BladeStorm: the Hundred Years’ War released in 2007, the real-time tactics and core gameplay remains relatively the same. Basically, players will customize a mercenary character who will lead squads or troops into battles (unlike Dynasty Warriors or Crimson Sea) set in the historical time-frame.
Therefore, seeing Rio de France and the King of England should come to no surprise! Although both royalties have polar opposite personalities and contrasting appearances, they lead their commanders and forces without any fear. Here are their backgrounds and faces:
In order to slay these majestic foes, players will have to encounter Edward, the Black Prince from England and Joan of Arc (who is rumored to exude an evil aura in the Nightmare version) leading monsters from France. Unfortunately, these two figures are the only characters shown on the main website, while others are scattered across posts from Facebook or Twitter.
As a quick reminder, BladeStorm: Nightmare will arrive on the PlayStation 3, PS4 and XBox One for Japan on January 29; for North America on March 3; and for Europe on March 6, 2015. For more information, please visit the official website.
