Galaxy Grand 2
Samsung has finally launched the sequel to the Galaxy Grand and it is a winner. Having the same dual-SIM option, it comes with quite a bunch of features and hardware prowess. It is available in Black, White and Pink.
Design and Display
This phone has a 5.25 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with screen resolution of 720×1280. The pixel density is very low (~280 ppi) and the display is quite crisp. The back is coated with a leather type material which makes it look very sleek.
Performance
It has a Quad-core 1.2 GHz processor with MSM 8226 Snapdragon 400 chipset. It has 1.5GB RAM with 8GB internal storage. With micro SD external storage support included up to 64GB, there’s virtually endless storage space. The phone runs on Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean) and is upgradable to v4.4.2 (KitKat).
Multimedia and Accessories
The galaxy Grand 2 has an 8 megapixel primary camera with 1080p video recording. Other features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization. There is also a 1.9 megapixel secondary camera. The phone comes with a standard set of accessories which include charging brick, data cable and hands free.
Battery
It has a huge Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery that can give an impressive 2 days of battery timing.
LG G2
The G2 is a phone with impressive features that released last year. The specs and the performance come toe to toe with the top phones currently in the market. Released in September 2013, the G2 comes in Black, White, Red and Gold color.
Design and Display
The G2 comes with a 5.2 inch True HD-IPS + LCD display and a screen resolution of 1080×1920. The pixel density is also very good (~424 ppi). The result is a stunning and crisp display that easily pleases the viewer. The leather-like back and the new water resistant design mean a phone that’s worth looking at.
Performance
The G2 has a powerful Quad-core 2.26 GHz processor with MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset. It has 2GB RAM with 16GB/32GB internal storage. Even with no micro SD support, there is enough space available for most people to be able to use it comfortably. The phone comes with Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and is upgradable to v4.4.2 (KitKat).

The G2 has a powerful 13 megapixel primary camera featuring autofocus, led flash support, 1080p video recording and a number of other features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, image stabilization and HDR. The massive non-removable Li-Po3000 mAh battery gives an amazing backup time of2-3 days even on above normal usage.
Verdict
Both the galaxy Grand 2 and G2 have an impressive set of features in them and leaning on either side would be extremely difficult. Neither of the companies are willing to let their users down. Saying that if its speed your after and a sharper screen. The G2 is your phone of choice.
