Game of the year: BioShock Infinite, GTA V, the Last of Us or Super Mario 3D World?

[dropcap size=dropcap]N[/dropcap]ext month, during VGX, Spike TV will present this year’s Video Games Awards. Gamers, developers and publishers from all around the world are waiting impatiently to see whether the expectations were met or not and of course, to see which video game will win the “game of the year” award and why.

Fortunately, we already know the nominees for each category. Thus, “the game of the year” title will be disputed by BioShock Infinite, Grand Theft Auto V, The Last of Us, Super Mario 3D World and Tomb Raider.

There are however, as everyone has expected, video games that were nominated for several categories. Grand Theft Auto V is one of the titles that will dispute no more than 7 prizes such as: Studio of the Year, Best Action Adventure Game, Best Xbox Game, Best PlayStation Game, Best Voice Actor, Best Soundtrack and Best Song in a Game

BioShock Infinite, also received seven different nominations such as: Studio of the Year, Best Shooter, Best Xbox Game, Best Voice Actor, Best Voice Actress, Best Soundtrack and Best Song in a Game.

The Last of Us is another game that was highly acclaimed by fans and media. The game qualified for seven awards as well: Game of the Year, Studio of the Year, Best Action Adventure Game, Best PlayStation Game, Best Voice Actor, Best Voice Actress and Best Soundtrack.

Other games that were nominated for more than one category is Gone Home, an independent game that competes for the Studio of the Year, Best PC Game and Best Independent Game awards.

Those who would like to see the Event live will be able to do it on Monday, December 8, on the Spike, Twitch, MTV, MTV2 and BET websites. Below, you may analyze the full list of nominalizations.
