On Wednesday a gaming speed runner who goes by Jackafur on Twitch and Twitter proposed to his girlfriend at the end of a very successful speed run of Mischief Makers on the N64 as a part of the Awesome Games Done Quick marathon, and she tearfully says yes. At the time, 140,000 avid gamers were watching the stream on Twitch and got to see this beautiful moment unfold live before their eyes.
This is definitely the best gaming-related proposal since a gamer got Claptrap from Borderlands to pop the question to his girlfriend. You can watch Jackafur’s proposal in its entirety here:

His now fiancee and fellow streamer Lillifer who goes by KittyRawr on Twitch posted the following Tweet after the proposal:
“Ty to all the people who congratulated us & got to see it live. Wouldn’t trade this moment for anything.”
The Awesome Games Done Quick marathon is held semi-annually and has streamers speed running games twenty-four hours a day till for a week till January 10th to raise money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
