Microsoft’s 2014 Gamescom conference opened with an up-beat classical trailer for Assassin’s Creed Unity, featuring Arno displaying the new parkour skills and abilities, and showing us once again the game’s beautifully detailed world.
The head of Microsoft, Phil Spencer took the stage and engaged the audience by thanking all the developers and the partners of Xbox. Moving onto the next title he was quick to announce an exclusive Xbox One Fifa 15 bundle available to pre-order immediately in Europe. The Fifa 15 display showed 50 legendary players that will be available to place in your legend’s team that you can play with against your friends.
ID@Xbox showed and announced some amazing indie games coming to Xbox One, games such as:

Sledgehammer came onstage and discussed the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare multiplayer and focused on weapons, classes and gear for your online experience. The segment also featured a lengthy gameplay of one of the levels from the game that’s stationed on the Golden Gate Bridge, showcasing basic FPS game play with some amazing environmental engagement. Another big announcement was the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Xbox One Bundle which features a limited edition console with a massive 1 terabyte hard drive. All ready to pre-order.
Turtle Rock Studios showed a new map for Evolved called The Distilled room. The map was played with gameplay commentary where the Kracken was the monster on show and the live beta was announced for January 2015.
An amazing announcement was made, that is that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be exclusive to Xbox One when it releases during the holiday of 2015.
Another exclusive was announced as Quantum Break took the stage with its lengthy gameplay/cinematic footage showing the protagonists ability to stop time and move through broken time lapses. This game looks pretty awesome so be sure to check it out when you can.
One of the big features of Fable Legends is that you can be the villain. This was the main message from Lionhead studios as they displayed many ways that you, the villain can trap the heroes and dispatch your minions against the good. The beta was displayed for October 16.
A trailer for a new title called Screamride was shown. In this game you create a roller coaster ride and the more your guests scream the better. Imagine Roller coaster Tycoon with a lot more attitude, make sure you keep an eye out for more announcements on this title.
Two new cars are making their gaming debut in Forza Horizon 2. The Formula E and Rolls Royce will be free to players. The big focus point from the developers was making sure you know that you can play with your friends even if you’re not online.
Ori and the Blind Forest received 5 minutes of basic side scrolling gameplay that did look beautiful, with that said it would have been better to see some more of the game and or story.
A third limited edition Xbox One was announced, this one everyone knew about but it’s still amazing to look at. Sunset overdrive will be available with the white Xbox One October 28.
The show ended with Halo the Master Chief Collection, it’s biggest announcement being the Halo Channel. This new interactive digital network will be the home of Halo, you will be able to watch Halo Nightfall and then from the channel jump into online gameplay with your friends. 343 also announced that they will be partnering with Twitch for the channel, which will be interesting in the future now that Google/YouTube are the owners. The Delta Halo mission from Halo 2 was briefly shown and the old-to-new feature was shown on the map showing the great detail that the anniversary edition will have. There has been great interest in the ranking system for Halo 2 and 343 observed, they have announced that the ranking will be skill based and will be identical to Halo 2.
The last real announcement from Microsoft was the new pre-order and pre-download feature that will be available for Forza 2, then for titles after Forza 2 is released. Again, a quick recap on all the games shown at Microsoft’s Gamescom conference.
