GameStop is apparently offering a “Day 1 Edition” of their recently announced PowerUp Rewards credit card. Yes, people can now pre-order a credit card in order to receive a bonus/incentive.
For those unfamiliar with GameStop’s PowerUp Rewards credit card, which as an APR of 26.99%, you can read the company’s description of it below:
“The new GameStop PowerUp Rewards Credit Card will provide cardholders with convenience and benefits exclusive to account holders, including being able to make purchases with the card in-store and online, promotional financing for larger purchases, online and mobile platform card management and payment services, as well as no annual fee and exclusive offers for savings throughout the year”

GameStop “Day 1 Edition” PowerUp Rewards Credit Card
Upon the opening of a credit account with GameStop, basic PowerUp Rewards and PowerUp Rewards Pro members will receive a number of benefits, which are as follows:
- 15,000 bonus points PowerUp Rewards Pro Members and 5,000 bonus points for Basic Members
- Use your card to shop in store or online
- Get more information on our limited “Day 1” credit card (Limited quantites available)
- Choose to pay in full or make monthly payments over time
- Exclusive cardholder offers
- No annual fee
As seen above, GameStop is indeed offering a limited edition “Day 1 Edition” run of their PowerUp Rewards credit card.
However, it appears as though you can only get more information on it by actually applying for the credit card. Thus, it is unknown what the benefits of the “Day 1 Edition” are (By the way, if you, for some reason, decide to open up a credit account, feel free to let us know what comes with it).
For those wondering about when it releases, GameStop’s PowerUp Rewards credit card is now available. Keep in mind that there is a pre-screening process during the application to determin whether or not applicants are eligible for the card.
