This weekend is the latest in the MCM expo line, being held in Manchester. Gamers at the con will be rewarded at the 2K games stand, being able to get a hands on with two fantastic games!
Evolve and Borderlands: The Pre Sequel will be available to play at the convention for anyone with an interest in both games!
Evolve recently gained the Game Critics Award for ‘Best of Show’ at E3 and will be released this October for next-gen consoles and PC release! From the team behind Left 4 Dead, Turtle Rock Studios, the game will see four players going toe-to-toe against a player controlled monster. Either the hunters will defeat the beast and win the game, or the monster will take down the team.
Also being released in October is Borderlands: The Pre Sequel, the third installment of the Borderlands franchise. Taking place between the original Borderlands and it’s sequel, this game will reveal the story behind the franchise’s villain; Handsome Jack, showing us his rise to power. It will also introduce new gameplay mechanics into the fray, like freezing weapons and anti-gravity abilities.
MCM Expo will also give gamers their chance to play Transformers Universe, even rewarding the best players with merchandise from the game! Even if you don’t win, anyone that signs up will receive stickers and temporary tattoos of the Autobots and Decepticons. The game looks like it’ll be worth a try, even if you don’t win.
The games expo part of the convention will be open to anyone, so make sure to visit other game stalls and check them all out! The convention will be over the 19th and 20th of July and will also include special guests, such as;
The cast of Red Dwarf; Hattie Hayridge, Judy Pascoe, Robert Llewwllyn and Chris Barrie.
