Judging from the 10 minute narrated Nisha Walkthrough video, Nisha will kick a lot of ass
Gearbox Software has released a 10 minute narrated Nisha Walkthrough video in order to show off what everybody’s (soon to be) favourite cowgirl can do. The video is narrated by Gearbox producer James Lopez and 2K Australia producer Joel Eschler.
The gameplay in the video takes place straight after where the EA demo ended, so the player is working with Pickle to raid the Drakensburg and take its military AI, which is also the only thing keeping the ship running.
While the video shows off the Law and Order tree, we also get a quick look at her other two trees, Fan the Hammer and Riflewomen. While they didn’t go into much detail about what both trees do, Fan the Hammer focuses more on her pistol while Riflewomen obviously focuses on her rifle skills.
What we do know is that Riflewomen actually focuses a decent amount on using it in a run and gun style, while the finally ability in Fan the Hammer called One for Each of Ya duplicates whatever pistol your using.
During the 10 minute narrated Nisha Walkthrough video we see that Nisha’s Law and Order tree is based around dealing increased damage to enemies who hurt Nisha. These enemies will be highlight by the sheriffs star over their heads and the more stars they have, the more damage you’ll do and this can equal an insane amount.
As it turns out this ability reflects on Nisha personality so it looks like she’s a bit of a vengeful bitch.
Nishas special ability is called is called Showdown and in classic spaghetti western style, the screen gets a western filter and Nisha does a hell of a lot of critical hits. During this mode you’ll have to hold down LT and flick the right stick in the direction you want to shoot since Nisha will be rooted to the ground.
She’s also unique because her whip is the first long-range melee attack in the series and it works brilliantly with the Law and Order class.
The class increases her skill with the whip which can be used at long-range to hit enemies with multiple stars over their heads, while the classes final skill Thunder Crackdown adds electric damage to it.
Judging from the 10 minute narrated Nisha Walkthrough video Nisha looks like she’s going to be a blast to play as. Her Law and Order skill tree turns her into the definition of a glass cannon character. You’ll get to try her yourself when the game comes out on October 14th in America, October 16th in Australia and October 17th for the rest of the world.
