Microsoft and Insomniac Games has announced Sunset Overdrives first DLC titled “The Mystery of Mooil Rig”

Microsoft and Insomniac Games has teamed up together to announce Sunset Overdrives first story driven DLC titled “The Mystery of Mooil Rig”. The DLC will be released on December 23rd as part of Sunset Overdrives Season Pass and will also be sold separately for $10.
“The Mystery of Mooil Rig” will take place on a oilrig off the shore of Sunset City and since its surrounded by water, players will get access to two new moves titled the Water Dive and the Water Slambounce to make travel through water and gaining height easier. Both of these moves will also transfer over to the main game so the aqua themed fun doesn’t have to stop.
On Mooil Rig players will have to fight off new aquatic themed enemies and the rig itself will be packed with more missions, quests and challenges. The DLC will also come with new weapons, traps. amps and Chaos Squad content but details for them will be released in another video “next week”. Apparently however one of the new weapons is called the Rivet Gun “which has an amazing AOE”.
For the next two weeks players will also be able to vote on which of two newly designed vanity objects they would like to see added with the DLC. The two items are a Wizards hat and a Egyptian Crown. There’s also a brand new community challenge that requires everybody to get 3,000 bounce medals, and doing so will get everybody in the community 5,000 overcharge. There’s also a new individual challenge that requires players to kill OD enemies using only The Dude weapon for 650 vote points.
“The Mystery of Mooil Rig” is the first story driven add-on content coming to Sunset Overdrive and will be available from December 23rd for $10. It will be free for players who own the Sunset Overdrive Season Pass.
