How Does It Work?
How it works is that the user creates a new account on Skype and registers for a number that can be used to make voice calls. Getting Started
The user must first place the application on whichever device they are trying to activate. They are the initial fee when users try to register the number, but it is free to open an account. When an account is finish being setup the user has to go to the Skype website and view the account, or just tap on Manage Account. The user will tap on the Get a Skype Number on the website, and enter the local address and source of payment. After the payment has gone through, Skype will provide the user with their new phone number that mimics their local phone number including area code.
Making And Receiving Calls
Skype offers users a new number that has their local area code and local telephone number. Once users receive their new number they can make free voice calls to others users that use Skype. Users can even receive calls to the number at no charge. In order to make the calls for those that don’t have the application, they have to make sure they have Skype credits that are purchased on the Skype website. There are several calling packages available to users, but the best thing is even while roaming you can make and receive calls, as well as use a local number to make calls.
