What Is Going To Happen To iPhone 6 When Samsung Galaxy S6 Drops?

The latest iPhone release from Apple has broken all sorts of records with its newer design that has every Apple user excited to no end. However, while the new iPhone 6 has received a warm welcome from Apple fans in getting a bigger and better phone, specifically for joining the phablet market, Samsung is not far behind. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has yet to make its arrival, but best believe it is next in their product line up. There has been no official release date, but Samsung launches are usually around the Mobile World Congress event, and it usually begins on March 2, 2015. So what exactly does that mean for Apple’s latest addition to the iPhone family? While Apple still has some time to bask in the glory of their iPhone 6 success, Samsung will surely get tongues wagging on what is to come for their competitor.

Running Down the Specs

First let us look at what both devices bring to the table. The iPhone 6 according to GSM Arena comes with a 4.7 display with a resolution of 750 x 1334 and a pixel density of 326 ppi. The iPhone 6 plus has a bigger display at 5.5 inches, a resolution of 1080 x 1920, and pixel density at 401ppi. Reportedly the Samsung Galaxy S6 will have a Super AMOLED 5.5 inch display with a resolution at 1440 x 2650. Samsung has begun working on their 4K displays, so the Samsung Galaxy S6 will alternatively feature this newer technology.

Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6 run on Apple’s own A8 processor with architecture on 64-bit on both iPhone 6 1GB RAM and iPhone 6 Plus 2GB RAM. The Samsung will also come with same bit architecture but running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The Samsung Galaxy S6 will likely come with 3GB of RAM, and mega internal storage capacity at 128 GB, similar to both iPhone 6 models. The iPhone 6 is offered in both 16GB and 64GB, and each have a battery capacity respectively of 1810mAH and 2915mAH. However, the new Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to pack a 3300mAH larger battery unit.

The Apple iPhone 6 comes with an 8MP camera, but the Galaxy S6 is expected to have a 20MP camera, as its predecessor already has a 16MP.

When looking at the operating systems, the iPhone 6 is using the latest iOS8. While the S6 is reportedly going to run on the new Android L. Both phones come equipped with a plethora features that boost their sensors to track health and fitness. The Galaxy S6 will feature a heart rate monitor while the iPhone 6 is equipped with the TouchID fingerprint scanner that allows for Apple Pay system. So before deciding to ditch your latest iPhone, we have to wait and see what the Samsung Galaxy S6 will officially offer to the competition.
