Google recently signed a cross-licensing agreement with Cisco Systems Inc. This is the second time that the search giant has entered such an agreement in as many months. Last month, Google and Samsung came together and agreed on sharing patent licenses.
Allen Lo, Google’s deputy general counsel for patents said that they were “pleased to enter into this cross-license, and we welcome discussions with any company interested in a similar arrangement.”
The tech world has been abuzz with patent lawsuits between different companies and it looks like Google is trying to avoid similar problems.
