The front panel is fitted with a 4.7 inch True HD IPS LCD display which is 768*1280 pixel resolution and 318 ppi pixel density. The display is simply amazing in terms of color reproduction and contrast with sharp and crisp images and texts. The power button and volume rocker is located on the right edge of the phone. The rear panel is non removable and is made of glass.

It is packed with an amazing 1.5 GHz snapdragon processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The performance of the phone is simply amazing as it is loaded with stock android 4.2 which is upgradable to 4.4.4 KitKat with no bloat ware. There is absolutely no lag in playing high end games and switching between applications. It is fitted with 8MP rear camera which clicks good quality pictures in day light. The front camera is 1.3 MP to support video calling. It is packed with non-removable 2100 mAh battery which gives a decent one day of battery life on mixed usage.

It is fitted with a remarkable 4.8 inch Super AMOLED screen with 720*1280 pixel resolution and 306 ppi pixel density. The screen is simply amazing in terms of color reproduction, sharpness and contrast. The power button and volume rocker is found on the right, with audio jack on the top and usb charging port at the bottom. The build quality of the phone makes it (and other galaxy models) feel cheaply built because of the plastic rear panel for which Samsung has taken action in the upcoming models.

It is packed with an amazing 1.4 GHz quad core processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It comes out of the box with preloaded android 4.0.4 Jelly Bean and is upgradable to 4.3. The OS is customized with Samsung Touch Wiz UI which might feel boring if you are an existing Samsung owner.
The rear 8MP camera clicks great pictures with amazing detail and sharpness. The pictures are not only good in day light, but in darker conditions the flash gave an extra bang that was badly needed. The 2100 mAh battery provides a whole day backup with mixed usage of videos, games and messaging.
Overall
Both the phones performed really well in our tests. Google Nexus 4 performed better as compared to Samsung Galaxy SIII due to its 2GB RAM over 1GB in SIII.
