[dropcap size=dropcap]A[/dropcap]n official image posted by Gran Turismo 6’s developers of Facebook confirms what we have been expecting for a long time now: the game is in its final development stage. In fact, Gran Turismo 6 is now Gold and it should be distributed to the press for the first reviews in the following days. According to Sony, Gran Turismo 6 will be released on December 6, 2013 for Playstation 3. Therefore, in just a few days, fans of the series and of the racing genre will be able to buy it from online and offline stores.
A demo version of the game was available on PlayStation store during July and August this year. The demo featured a training session that was supposed to help players get into the spirit of the game and master the abilities needed in order to drive the most powerful race cars.
At launch, Gran Turismo 6 will feature 33 different race tracks. Moreover, the game was created using actual data received from real life racing cars and from specific auto-parts producers such as KW Automotive and Yokohama. Its creator, Kazunori Yamauchi said that GT6 will be ported to PS4 as well in the future but right now, they are focusing on the Playstation 3 version.
“We actually do have a PlayStation 4 version in mind, but for this holiday season, we thought it would be best for users to release on PS3 for now,” Yamauchi told IGN. “I thought the best scenario would be to have the game come out, then to have new scenarios, new DLC and other updates. Once the players have thoroughly played out the system, if the PlayStation 4 version came out naturally, as part of that process, I think that would be the best scenario”, he then added.
