Rockstar Games has revealed details and a trailer for the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto Online’s Heist jobs.
Speaking with IGN, GTA Online producer and lead mission designer Imran Sarwar revealed details surrounding the new Heists to be released:
“We never want to have to move a date but if something is delayed, it’s because it’s not at the level we expect of ourselves. And while we’re not there yet, we’re getting close and Heists will be ready early in 2015.”
Other details shared were the minimum requirements to participate in a Heist. Each Heist job will require four players who are all at Rank 12 or above, with the leader of the Heist needing a high-end apartment in order to set up the job.
Sarwar describes what the development team wanted the Heist jobs to feature:
“A series of multi-tiered missions featuring diverse prep work, a range of different types of gameplay and a big finale, where team coordination and playing your own distinct role could make the difference between success or failure.
“We also wanted each one to have a unique thread that brought you back in touch with some of the characters from the story.”
A trailer (posted below) for the five upcoming online Heist jobs was also released by Rockstar, and it showcases the type of action players of Grand Theft Auto Online will be able to participate in.
Grand Theft Auto Online’s Heist jobs will be available sometime in early 2015.
