According to The Hollywood Reporter, ‘Greta Lee’ is the new featured actress that will soon appear in the FOX Comedy ‘New Girl’ for a recurring role. Lee is popular and known for her character as Soojin, in HBO series “Girls”, which is a comedy drama TV series that was featured in the city of New York.
In the series “New Girl”, ‘Lee’ will play the character of Kai, the grand daughter of the recurring character, ‘Tran’, who is played and portrayed by Ralph An. Tran is an elderly mute man who befriended Nick in the park, and who is there for Nick through all the mishaps and issues in his life, a person who is always by his side.
Kai’s character will be seen in at least three episodes of the series ‘New Girl’. The first of these episodes will feature a Thanksgiving episode wherein Tran will be asked to join a dinner in the loft, and he would take along his granddaughter with him, who is Kai. By then, Kai will be the center of attention of Nick as she will play the role as Nick’s new love interest, who has been single ever since the time that he broke up with the last season’s ‘New Girl’, Jesse. Well, we think flirting moments and scenes of Nick will not be counted so some of the girls whom he met before will not be included. The truth is the character of Nick will not be featured that much on this season aside from the scenes and activities with Schmidt, Coach and Winston. To those who love the character of Nick, surely they will be pleased to see him get his own unique story. Especially, that on this season of the show, the return of the loved character of Tran would be featured.
You could see Greta Lee more than usual not just in the ‘new Girl’ series, but with some other series as well, as she also played some other roles in FOX channel. This includes FOX miniseries ‘Wayward Pines’, also plays a role in ‘The Nest’ by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, and will also appear in Bill Murray’s ‘St.Vincent’. She also performed some fascinating and known previous roles in ‘Royal Pains’, ‘Inside Amy Schumer’ and ‘Nurse Jackie’.
This coming season of ‘New Girl’ will definitely give another fascinating role that will be loved by Lee’s fans. The upcoming 4th season of ‘New Girl’ is airing on Tuesdays on FOX channel.
