Rockstar is paying more attention to the abundance of cheating in GTA 5’s multiplayer mode, GTA Online. The 1.09 update launched today should make it a lot harder for players to use GTA 5 cheats online. The patch will bring “Improved anti-cheat measures” and will be a “fix for several GTA$ and RP exploits”.
The patch is a follow-up to previous multiplayer content updates to GTA 5. Considering that Rockstar is constantly expanding the multiplayer features and game modes of GTA Online, it’s only natural that they would try to eliminate all sorts of cheating in their online mode. After all, using GTA 5 cheats in singleplayer is one thing, but ensuring fairness in a multiplayer environment is another.
In other GTA 5 related news, the game is still doing great in terms of sales, and is well on the way to becoming the best-selling game in history. GTA 5 is still leading the Google gaming search charts, and it seems like 2014 will be a great year for Rockstar, after a great 2013 (more on the matter in our GTA 5 year in review).
