Only a few hours stand between our relaxing GTA 5 play-throughs and massive multiplayer carnage. Rockstar is releasing its new free content update for the Playstation Network and Xbox live tomorrow. The update will be centered around a new game mode called Capture, available for GTA Online.
Capture will be divided into several distinct modes, each with unique jobs and settings:
- Raid – In raid, you’ll have to steal more packages than the opposing team. This is a GTA spin on the classic capture the flag more, where you’ll have to storm the opposing base, steal the package, and return it to your own base. Defending or attacking properly will be crucial. The “Beachin” job will be set on Vespucci Beach, while the “Wargames” job will take place in the Fort Zancudo Military Base.
- Hold – This mode is about hoarding packages, either from the map or from opponents. The more packages you manage to gather and successfully defend, the better. Hold the most packages to win. This “Block Party” job will take place in Chamberlain Hills.
- GTA – Back to the basics with this one, and that’s the grand theft of automobiles…right from the jealous eyes of your opponents, obviously. There will be a time limit, and the team with the highest number of stolen vehicles will win. The Maibatsu Factory will host the “My Maibatsu” job, while “Field of Screams” will revolve around stealing tractors in Blaine County.
- Contend – The last of the modes, Contend, there’s only one package and two teams. Blood-baths included! Get the package, kill your enemies, and return the package to your own base. All this on the lovely setting of Chumash Beach.
