Continuing with Guild Wars 2’s long line of free updates, NCSoft and ArenaNet released their new content update “Seeds of Truth” today, allowing players to continue their adventures in Tyria in the game’s Living World second season.
Players will band together with Tyria’s leaders to find Caithe, the sylvari who they once considered their own until she stole the dragon egg that could be their one last hope in defeating Mordremoth. The player will retrace Caithe’s footsteps down a dark path as they learn her early memories, new secrets, and experience new gameplay in the Silverwastes area where they will help the local rat-like skritt in order to gain access to their tunnel system. A new jumping puzzle is now also available in the new Drydock Scratch, where skritt pirates assemble a ship beneath the land of the Silverwastes. Players will also be able to collect resources to get the Carapce and Luminescent armor set’s boots and pants pieces.
The game’s PvP combat will also be receiving some major changes, including a new map voting system, redone matchmaking, match prompts and alerts, service NPC’s in the Heart of the Mists, and the introduction of the new Ladder Test Season. The game’s World Tournament Series Finals will also be taking place this December 5 in Beijing, China, where the top teams from North America, China and Europe will be competing for a prize of $50,000.
