Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- Limited Edition delayed

Bad news for gamers who pre-ordered their copy of the limited edition of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, the newest entry of the smash-hit anime and heavy-metal musically composed 2-D fighter, Guilty Gear series.  While originally announced for a December 16 release, (December 4 in Japan,) the game’s release will be delayed due to the strikes at the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach.  Though the strikes have ended, its been long enough to postpone the release.

“…we regret to inform our fans that the Limited Edition will be delayed due to the unforeseen strikes at the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach, which have held up key components.  Due to the unpredictable nature of the delay, there may be a one to two week postponement of the release of the Limited Edition. Aksys Games takes this matter seriously and will continue to update everyone as soon as we can. We would like to apologize for the delay and inconvenience that this has caused.”

The game is an upcoming title by Arc System works built on the Unreal 3 Engine and will be the first in the series to feature fully 3-D cel-shaded characters while still retaining the 2-D plane.  While the collector’s edition may of been delayed, the standard edition is still on schedule for its December 16 release.
