The first expansion for Blizzard’s digital collectible card game, Hearthstone launches yesterday in North America and Europe will be getting the expansion today.
The expansion, Goblins vs. Gnomes is a free update to the card game and features 143 new cards, new minion types and a spectator mode. The expansion will follow the same price structure as Hearthstones standard cards. With the ability to either purchase cards with in game gold or purchase with real money. Players will also be able to use the new cards in the “Arena” mode. The game’s arena mode will also offer players the new card pack as its reward instead of the standard card packs.
For those who log into the game until December 19th will receive three free card packs from the expansion which include the new cards. Other updates that the expansion brings is a new venue for players to fight in, as well the addition of “Mech” cards and balance changes for some cards.
Hearthstone is a free-to-play collectible card game available on Windows, OS X and iPad. The game is planned to release on both iPhone and Android in 2015.
