Heavenstrike Rivals is a new game developed by Square-Enix, working together with Mediatonic LTD, (developers of Hatoful Boyfriend and Adult Swim’s Amateur Surgeon,) recently released for the winter season. The game is a tactical RPG that features battles specifically designed for mobile platforms, deep strategic possibilities, both PvE and PvP combat, as well as a large variety of evolving characters.
The game takes place under a state of war, where the people of Lunnain, a once prosperous aerial kingdom, take back their lands by fighting the Fallen. The game has players participate in simple yet deep tactical combat with more than two hundred characters as they travel across Lunnain to save the Seven Sisters. Players can also take part in PvP gameplay during regular events and weekend arena competitions. The game also features characters designed by Ryoma Ito (Final Fantasy Tactics Advance) and music by Ryo Yamazaki (Final Fantasy XIV).
