Hidden “Mysterious Travelers” in Wii Street U

Remember that free eshop title you downloaded on your Wii U over a year ago? If you’re like me Wii Street U has been sitting there on your console untouched since its initial and only use back in the beginning of 2013. It was a fun app for a few minutes and when there wasn’t Mario Kart 8 to absorb all of your time spent on the Wii U.  Well, this morning Toshiaki Suzuki from Nintendo posted that they haven’t just left the title to rot. On Miiverse he wrote that there are now “Mysterious Travelers” hidden about Wii Street U. Included in the post was a picture with four missions.These missions are more doddle styled hints and less Mission Impossible “you have ten minutes to defuse that nuke” or even Mario/Zelda “save the princess” but they give clues as to where challengers  of the scavenger hunt can find said “Mysterious Travelers”. Does this sound familiar? Remember that Pokémon Google Maps April fools shenanigan? Sort of the same idea except Google hasn’t offered a fake job to those who discover the Easter eggs. It seems that Google and Nintendo have a new thing where they like to hide beloved characters in Google applications. So, what characters awake you in Wii Street U?
