Samsung Note 4 got released recently (September 2014) and got positive response from all over the world. Samsung is still the leader in the phablet category as no other company is able to capture the market share like Samsung. From the date of release of Note 4, speculations started on the next phablet in the note series i.e. Samsung Note 5.

As per gossips, Note 5 will get unveiled in the IFA event which will be organized in September 2015 and it is available in market by October 2015 and feature 0.2 inch bigger screen than Note 4 screen which is of 5.7inch. The Note 4 is of 2K Quad HD resolution whereas the next one may come up with 4K Quad HD resolution which is equal to 3480 x 2160 keeping a record of first Quad HD screen resolution. The company proposals to make Ultra High Definition screens are on the verge of becoming ready for production. If this happens, the screen ppi may increase to 700+ making it as the best device as far as viewing experience is concerned.  Some are even arguing that the resolution will be achieved through diamond pixels which are not the exact form of pixel matrix.

Coming to the hardware, the company may use Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 and match it 4GB to get the optimum performance. The clock speed at which Note 4 operates is 2.7GHz and this may get improved and cross 3.0GHz in Note 5 for sure.

Samsung users expected an improvement in the camera resolution form Note 3 to Note 4. But the company didn’t make any significant changes and the users are expecting an improvement in the upcoming model and if the reports are true the rear camera which is of 16MP in Note 4 may get upgraded to 21MP and in the front side the company may put 6MP camera with wide variety of options including HD recording.

Even battery performance need to be improved as this parameter also did not made any significant improvement from Note 2. Users are expecting a minimum of 4000mAh battery which is removable. There are even suggestions from users to improve the battery backup and other options in power saving mode. Samsung will look at them seriously for sure and the fast charging option which is first featured in Note 4 may get some more improvements in Note 5.

The design of Note 4 is liked by many and the premium feel through metallic design may continue in the next smart phone also and one can expect some improvements in the stylus design also. The user interface will be customized and the device may run on Android Lollipop OS.

As per the reports the price of the phone will be close to $999 and it is too early to get an idea about the price. But Samsung will raise the parameters bar for sure with the release of Note 5 and hope it will meet all the requirements of users who are eagerly waiting for it.
