There are 10 different developers that have taken to fighting the ongoing fight with Ebola by developing video games. Humble Bundle is collaborating their efforts with these developers in creating a 96-hour game jam to raise money for charity.
The game jam Games Against Ebola kicked off today, November 26, and will continue until November 30, ending at 11 a.m. Developers such as Mojang, Coffee Stain Studios known for Goat Simulator, Glitchnap, and others will be developing a game within those 96-hours that you can donate to charity for. These developers are taking their time to contribute 100% of the funds donated in the game jam to the cause Direct Relief. This cause focuses on improving the health and lives of those affected by poverty and/or emergency situations by getting them the medical resources they need.
“Nine development teams from around the world and one solo developer have volunteered to create games and raise money to fight Ebola. These generous indie developers include Grapefrukt, Ludocity, Glitchnap, SLMN, Coffee Stain, and three teams from Mojang. Plus, TheMogMiner will be contributing as well! Donate an amount of your choice, and you’ll get all of the games created during the event after its conclusion.” – Humble Bundle game jam page.
The Games Against Ebola game jam provides these developers with the opportunity to raise money for a good cause; while creating some fun games for others to play. Each developer involved has a stream that will run throughout the event, shown on Humble Bundle.
