Hyrule Warriors Legacy Costumes Pack Available for Download Now

Hyrule Warriors

North American fans of the Legend of Zelda spin-off game Hyrule Warriors will be happy to find out that the costumes originally available as pre-order bonuses at different retailers are all available for download on the Nintendo eShop now. It should be noted that they are not included in Hyrule Warrior’s Hero of Hyrule (season pass) pack. Even if you bought the season pass, you still need to pay for and download these costume packs separately.

The four DLC packs, listed below, are $0.99 cents a piece. There’s no four-in-one pack, so you can choose which ones you want to download or avoid spending money on the DLC you already got as a pre-order bonus.

Ocarina of Time pack– From the Gamestop pre-order. Comes with a new costume for Link and Princess Zelda from their Ocarina of Time appearance.

Twilight Princess pack– From the Amazon pre-order. Comes with a new costume for Link and Princess Zelda from their Twilight Princess appearance.

Skyward Sword pack– From the Best Buy pre-order. Comes with a new costume for Link and Princess Zelda from their Skyward Sword appearance.

Demon King pack– Available if you registered the game on Club Nintendo within the first month of it’s release. Comes with two new costumes for Ganondorf based on his appearance in Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess.

The Retro Goat Reacts: While I’m delighted about getting to play as Link with his Ocarina of Time look, I think how this was all handled was rather poor. There was zero information about when these costume packs were going to come out despite many players looking forward to playing as their favorite design, and then it was released without advertisement or any formal announcement. It just popped up on the eShop. I also don’t like that players who downloaded the Hero of Hyrule season pass still need to purchase these separately, but that partially because in my opinion the season pass should cover all of the DLC.  No matter though, I am happy to see that they’re released and I bought them all the second I found out they were out.
