With the release of the PlayStation 4 and having in mind the fact that both consoles are able to interact, it was an inevitable event for Sony to release a PS 4 + Vita Bundle. That is just what they did. With the coming of December certain shops will have the opportunity to sell this special deal package.
The next-gen console is a must-have on its own; however, with the special addition of the handheld, which surprisingly isn’t doing very well on the market, you will be able to fully enjoy the capabilities of PlayStation and the PS Network. Releasing the bundle is not a surprising move by Sony and it definitely serves as an advertisement for the PS Vita, as it really makes you think on whether it is good to have it or not.
Sony UK boss Fergal Gara told Eurogamer, that the console bundle will come to shops in different variations, maybe including some exclusive titles, who knows? What comes as a bit of a surprise, though, is that you won’t be able to save THAT much, as the bundle is said to cost a bit below £500. Having in mind that the PS4 itself costs around £350, and depending on the type of the handheld a PS Vita won’t cost you more than £150, don’t be so excited for savings.
However, even if you are not a hardcore fan of Sony, but are planning on purchasing their new console, you might as well get the handheld version. The connectivity between both is great and will add some special features for you to enjoy. Moreover, Sony are looking forward to letting developers use the connectivity of both devices for certain mini-games or even as an additional controller in certain situations of the game, much like the Wii U controller lets you. What will game developers make of that? Well, only time will tell and we can only hope that developers will think of a neat way to use the handheld, while playing a game on the PS4.
Until then, you can enjoy all the exclusive titles on the PS Vita and the PS4 with the purchase of this special bundle presented by Sony. It may not be a huge incentive, if you were not planning on purchasing the PS Vita; however, it not only makes you think of the value you get, but also lets you enjoy the exclusive titles in a whole new way and get the whole story out of them, because as we have seen before, certain titles of a franchise are sometimes coming only for either the PS Vita or the PS4, letting people, fans of said franchise, who don’t own both device search the web, only to find how the story follows or precedes. Whatever the case, it is a definite recommendation for every gamer out there who wants to purchase the PS4, to take a look at the PS Vita and purchase a bundle, as the gaming experience could not get any better, if you own both versions of the Sony PlayStation console.
