New inFAMOUS: Second Son Video Shows Off Ruthless Gameplay

The team at SuckerPunch has done a great job of keeping hush hush up until the week of launch. They learned from their mistakes from inFamous 2 and decided instead of leaking information they wanted to keep Second Son under lock to increase the amount of excitement and tension before launch. inFamous is know for its big cities portraying New York City as Empire City, New Orleans as New Marais, tough characters with powers such as fire, ice, and lightning, and tough morale decisions and unless Cole MacGrath makes a surprise visit in Second Son we say goodbye to the lovable character and say hello to Delsin Rowe as a young edgy street artist slumming through the streets of Seattle and Suckerpunch studios took extra time and effort to make Seattle be Seattle by adding the Space Needle, Elephant Car Wash, and a few other landmarks that are big attractions in the state of Washington.

We say goodbye to Cole who was introduced when he woke up with electricity after destroying Empire City while adding ice and fire later on in his journey, while still being very powerful and scary to your opponents it became the same old stuff in the two games combined and we were ready for something new, exciting, and different and we got just that with inFamous Second Son when we join Delsin Rowe in his journey in Seattle.

In an interview from the IGN Podcast Beyond crew Greg Miller and Colin Moriarty they interview on site Chris Zimmerman from Suckerpunch where he mentioned that

increasing the time it takes to get from point A to point B will increase the map by 50% without actually doubling the size of the map itself

Very smart move from the development team. Instead of making the map bigger in general they tried to focus on travel time, nooks and crannies, and amount of space to explore in height and width of the map. It is going to make the map feel much bigger and more explorable than it actually is increasing the amount of content for the user to enjoy throughout the game.

We have only seen Delsin with his smoke power which when explained in more detail it is revealed that his power has a base of fire in which Delsin turns into smoke and ash. In addition to that we see that he has a neon power and when explained we learned that he is able to thrust out a neon charge that explodes on impact as well as allowing him to dash forward in the form of a neon light while there is many more powers to uncover during gameplay which have been kept in secret from the public, the smoke and neon powers are more than enough to cause an extreme amount of excitement for this upcoming installment.
