inFamous Second Son update brings Photo Mode

by GH Staff

Not many game developers offer gamers tools to take epic screenshots with. Sucker Punch is among the few exceptions, and their impressive Photo Mode is coming to inFamous Second Son tomorrow, through a major update to the game. The patch will introduce a new editor mode for taking amazing screenshots that can be easily shared. And since inFamous Second Son does manage to look amazing at times, there’s bound to be something you’d be willing to capture. That’s not all the update brings however, so let’s have a look at what we can expect to see.

  • A frame-rate cap that allows you to set the game to run at 30 FPS, should you choose to do so. This is optional, and isn’t a lock.
  • Fixes to crashes and localization tweaks
  • A feature that will pause the game if your controller decides to run out of battery all-of-a-sudden
  • Dialogue notifications for getting the Unstoppable trophy on expert difficulty
  • An option to disable the game’s HUD
  • The introduction of Photo Mode

Now, that last bit is where things get really interesting. As long as you can freely move your camera, you can always take some epic screenshots through photo mode. The mode is easy to use and doesn’t require you to be a professional photographer to take some great shots, so feel free to experiment. While the mode won’t work in Second Son’s cutscenes, it’s still bound to provide you with ample opportunities to immortalize your adventures. In case you’re wondering how inFamouse Second Son’s photo mode actually works, Sucker Punch was kind enough to provide us with a tutorial that should give is a pretty clear idea. Take a look below:
