Get ready to look at the greener side of life as the Swamp Thing is coming soon to Infinite Crisis
The battlefields of Infinite Crisis are about to get a little more eco-friendly because this month will see the release of Infinite Crisis latest tanky Champion, Swamp Thing. Swamp Thing is from the Prime Universe and is the result of Alec Hollands “bio-restorative formula” sauntering plants after he was killed by a rival companies thugs.
Swamp Thing is the latest in a long line of elemental protectors summoned by the Parliament of Trees in order to protect the Green, the force that gives life to all plant live. However partly due to the fact that Swamp Thing also has the memories of Alec Holland he now also vows to protect all life.
As a hero Swamp Thing will be a slow-moving tank meaning that his good at absorbing damage while also dealing it back himself. His ability to absorb damage is made even better by his passive called Bio-Regenerative Formula which means that when it takes substantial damage, Swamp Thing and restore most of it over several seconds. This ability will improve Swamp Things general survivability.
Players looking to improve Swamp Things mobility will be interested in his Q ability Vine Leash. With Vine Leash Swamp Thing shoots a vine at his target which deals power damage and will allow him to fire a second one quickly after it hits. Enemies hit by Vine Leash will lose Move Speed while Swamp Thing will gain Move Speed for each enemy hit. If you hit a target with both vines they’ll be briefly rooted and Swamp Thing will gain additional Move Speed over time.
Swamp Things W called Husk summons a Husk which will travel to a target location, granting the player some sight for the area. He can summon up to two Husks at a time and they are only visible to other Champions at close range. More importantly after a Husk reaches its location, Swamp Thing can teleport to its location after a short channel and doing so consumes the Husk but it is protected during the channel from other Champions basic attacks.
Its E titled Earth Strike is a short-range AOE attack that deals Power Damage and slows down affected enemies. It also knocks enemies standing in the moves centre up while all other enemies will be knocked back instead.
Finally Swamp Things R turns it into the Warrior King for a period of time. While in this state Swamp Thing gains Attack Speed, becomes immune to Slow, deals bonus damage to its basic attack to both his target and enemies next to them and finally heals a large amount of its health.
While there has been no word on when Swamp Thing is coming to Infinite Crisis, Champions tend to be released 3 weeks after the release of the last Champion so he should be released around December 17th.
