Invisible Inc. is coming to Steam Early Access on August 19.
The procedural, turn-based, stealth game from the creators of Don’t Starve and Mark of the Ninja (if that doesn’t get you excited for the game, I don’t know what will) is now entering its beta phase. Between September of last year and this June, the game was available to play in its alpha state to people who preordered off of Klei’s website.
In a post on their official forums, Klei revealed the release date as well as new features coming to Invisible Inc. since the game’s alpha. Included in the new build is a mission map that allows you to select which jobs to take on, an Infinite Mode, and more. You can read about the improvements and additions here.
Invisible Inc. is set in the world of corporate espionage. You control a spy-agency-for-hire that breaks into corporate facilities to steal valuable items and information. The game is inspired by XCOM’s turn-based system while placing an emphasis on stealth. Levels will be uniquely generated for each play through and permadeath means killed characters won’t be coming back.
Invisible Inc. is slated to get a full release by the end of the year.
