The long waited release of iOS 8 by Apple has brought in new hopes for the fans of the device, and they have been relieved after visualizing several newer features in the model. Some of the recent users have thanked the developers for its OS updates and for the marvelous attempt they’ve made. However, others have grumbled about the several issues, glitches, bugs and errors of this OS device. Recently, reports reveal that there are numerous users who are facing problems in using their device to its fullest.
The rate of complaints against the company is constantly rising several new problems in the iOS 8 have been recognized. Shortly after Apple released this latest generation of device, they themselves realized the glitches in the mobiles. There are several problems in both iOS 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 that needs to be fixed, however it seems they are incapable of fixing the issues.
Security issues
There are several users who have complained about jailbreaking as it makes the complete gadget unsecure. The reason probably is the change in the operating system. However, recent events conducted prove that it is not completely true and jailbreaking plays an important part in securing devices from malware. The prime problem occurs when users try to download cracked and pirated apps on their jailbroken devices. Other than the fact, it is illegal the developers of jailbreakers are against this.
Bluetooth problems’
There are several reports by users facing serious problem in connecting their devices. Connection problems via Bluetooth primarily occur while connecting their mobiles to keyboards, car audio, and headsets. Another major reported issue is that even after users have connected their device to a headset they fail to receive the audio. Moreover, sometimes the audio set also refuses to work after an incoming call.
Well, these issues do not seem to be new as both the latest iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6 along with the older iPhone model owners seem to be complaining about the same issues. It is because of the regular complaints being received, that several users who have till date not upgraded their iOS version have decided not to do so until the glitches are fixed by the company. These issues also seems to be affecting the company as Mixpanel’s analytics based on the last two weeks reveal that the adoption of iOS 8 has only been 1%. Latest studies also reveal the fact that approximately 47% of iPad and iPhone users have adopted the latest iOS version which is certainly a downfall for the company.
Reports from Forbes also disclose the fact that Bluetooth connectivity issues primarily arrive while connecting devices to car systems. Certain cars that are incapable of connecting to iOS 8 include Lexus, Toyota, BMW, Ford, and Hyundai. Some of the iOS 8 users have been capable of fixing this glitch by resetting it; however it seems that every user could not fix it by the same.
Antivirus
Another major problem in the iOS 8 platform is the antivirus issues as there is a limited option for users. Although, with the increasing apps they can secure their devices but iOS fails recognize most of these applications.
