Guerrilla Games, developer of the Killzone series, has been working on a new intellectual property ever since (and even before) Killzone: Shadow Fall released back in November of last year. That’s no surprise.
Killzone: Shadow Fall lead developer, Eric Boltjes had this to say last year on the possibility of branching out to different genres of gaming:
“I can be true about it, yes. That’s definitely what’s happening right now. I can’t tell you what we’re thinking of but yes. As a studio, we do want to branch out, and we have started work on a new IP, something completely different to Killzone. I don’t want to say anything about it right now, but as a studio we do want to keep it fresh.”
Furthermore, images posted on a Chinese forum showing off reported images of the Killzone developer’s new game (which may or may not be titled, ‘Horizon.’) have been found, showing off an interesting departure from Guerilla Games’ flagship, Sony-exclusive Killzone franchise.

Killzone Developer, Guerrilla Games’, New Game Art
In regards to Guerrilla Games’ new IP, previous speculation stated that the game would be an open-world, role-playing game complete with robot dinosaurs, among other various creatures, starring a red-headed female protagonist. Quite different from Killzone‘s gritty, sci-fi first-person shooting.
As can be seen in the concept art images above, there are indeed towering mechanical creatures (not unlike dinosaurs) present in a seemingly open-world environment. In the featured image, a red-headed woman with a bow and arrow can be clearly seen.
Some other previous details/rumors surrounding the game say that Horizon (tentative title) may also incorporate social elements into the core gameplay.
No other information regarding Killzone developer, Guerrilla Games’, new intellectual property has surfaced. Keep in mind that this is a leak, and is not in any way an official information release from Guerrilla Games. If, or when, additional information is procured, this article will be updated accordingly.
