Kingdom Come: Deliverance gets a new video detailing customization

by GH Staff

Prepare your cloth tunics and rusty chain mails. There will be no shiny magically enchanted armors in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, but there will be a wide array of tangible and realistic clothes. Most are completely ugly, and we love the game even more so for it. Out the window goes the concept and belief that medieval fighters were all dressed in cool and radiant garments.

Warhorse is making a game based on realistic facts, and wants to make sure that the clothing and armor designs stay true to history. But when variety is concerned, they have it figured out. Instead of designing individual artworks for Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s characters, the developers at Warhorse will be creating individual items that can be then mixed and matched.

The result? Millions of combinations and the promise that no two characters will look alike. And based on this new video, we believe them. Not only did they take their time in designing clothes for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, they also took their time with providing realistic landscapes and regions. In fact, they modeled entire castles, forts and rural areas based on historic and real locations. The result is rather impressive:

We can’t wait to start exploring some dark and dimly-lit dungeons and castles. And judging by how well the game’s kickstarter project is going, we’ll be doing so on some epic, custom-composed medieval music. Warhorse exceeded their expectations of raising £300.000 for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and have passed the £600.000 landmark. At this rate, there’s nothing to stop them from reaching £1 million by the end of the kickstarter funding period, which still has 17 days to go.
